I immigrated to Canada in 1983 from New Delhi, India with my mother and sister. After working for a few years in retail (Value Village, Surrey) and at the IWA Credit Union (New Westminster), my passion led me to journalism. After finishing the program at BCIT, my journey brought me to Kelowna where I started a fantastic career that spanned over 20 years as a journalist with CHBC Television and CBC Radio.
If I could vote in the forthcoming elections for City Council, Mohini Singh would definitely be at the top of my list. In my experience as a former Kelowna resident, Mohini really does listen—to individuals and groups—who are impacted by issues before Council. Her approach is carefully balanced, supporting economic development but never when the quality of life of city residents would be put at risk.
Councillor Mohini is truly working hard and tirelessly for the benefit of all residents in the City of Kelowna. Her effort to bring changes in the city management policies effectively empowered the multicultural communities and brought hope and a better life for visible minorities in the broader Central Okanagan areas. She is an undoubtful leader with outstanding ability, magnanimity, intelligence, and generosity. I am honored to have this opportunity to provide my support and endorsement for her as a candidate in this election and any other campaigns.
The Chinese Freemasons started in 1900 in Kelowna. My family is the sixth generation living in Canada. We have seen the city of Kelowna through many changes and growth. We all live in this society and every opportunity should be taken to give back to our society. I would like to thank my good friend City Councillor Mohini Singh from Kelowna for her contribution to our society. Whenever someone is in trouble she will be the first person to stand up and help. She is professional and experienced, and no matter what skin colour you are we can all be united. She has high values and is kind, and has a beauty that fills our hearts with joy, happiness, and love. But the most important reason is that she can do her job. I hope everyone can see her hard work. You should vote for her this election.

I support Mohini 100 percent in her re-election bid and hope she serves many more years on Kelowna City Council.
It is with great pleasure I am endorsing Mohini Singh for re-election for Kelowna City Council. For the past three terms, she has worked very hard for the citizens of this community. Mohini is easy to approach and is always willing to listen to people's concerns. She is not afraid to speak up for issues that are important. Kelowna needs strong, effective leadership - one that reflects the diversity of our changing community.
I am pleased to support Mohini Singh’s re-election bid for the position of City councilor. I originally met Mohini in 2016 when she and Jason Picklyk approached Starbright Children’s Development Association and volunteered to spearhead a fundraising campaign. Mohini had used the services of Starbright then known as the Central Okanagan Children’s Development Association when her own daughter was small. Mohini’s determination to give back to the organization that had helped her when she was in need has been unstoppable. Since that first meeting Mohini has been a stanch and loyal supporter of Starbright, volunteering endless hours and raising funds too numerous to mention. Those funds have enabled Starbright to purchase therapy equipment, teaching supplies and playground equipment to support our wee ones with developmental delays. I personally have found Mohini to be open and honest, while demonstrating tremendous leadership skills and a sincere desire to give back to the community through her many acts of volunteerism. She is a woman who knows how to get things done and loves the diverse community she serves.
